Ode to Bacon...and Prayers

Mitchell has always loved saying prayers. Many fights have broken out in defense of his right to pray. He says a lot cute things when he prays, too. Recently he always remembers to "bless the earth." I have no idea where this came from, but my family attributes it to the fact that we live here in California with all the tree-huggers. Another thing he always has to say is, "bless the deacons." He thinks they are pretty cool and never forgets them. This past month he has started helping Catherine with her prayers. Every night he tells her what to say and she says it. However, each time he says "bless the deacons" she says "bless the bacon." After every prayer she now asks for her bacon and sometimes gets angry if I don't have it ready for her. I don't know how long this will continue, but at least my kids are eating lots of protein.
