The Blue Macaw

 

 

 

Catherine is constantly dressing up as other animals. She puts together her own costumes and they are usually quite interesting. The other day she asked if she could make a blue macaw costume. I told her to go ahead. She was coloring for a long time. Here is the finished project. She's too funny. On a related note, the other day I was out shopping with her. She found a fur vest. She tried it on and was just really wanting it. I thought she was thinking about how fashionable she would look in it, and even thought I may be persuaded to buy it. It was so cute to me that she would care about style. Then she said, "If I bought this I could wear it with all white clothes. I would look so good. I could even put a hat with it." "Yep," I said, "that would be really cute." She continued, "I would look just like a Himilayan Snow Leopard." Is this never going to stop? Will she always be dressing up as an animal? Will I have a sixteen year old going out dressed as an elephant. Don't get me wrong, it is cute, but it just always takes me by surprise.
