On July 3rd and 4th this year, we drove all the way to Island Park, Idaho, just outside of Yellowstone. We had our bi-yearly family reunion with all of John's siblings, a tradition that our kids absolutely love. We rented a massive house all together, and spent Thursday and Friday in and around Yellowstone.
On Thursday, our first full day there, we went all over Yellowstone. We saw a lot of hot springs, beautiful scenery, and watched Old Faithful erupt. We all met together for a picnic near Old Faithful. It was a pretty amazing sight to see.
On our drive back to the cabin, we pulled over to watch a nearby Elk. The kids were pretty impressed.
