After making what James and I considered some very delicious cheese soup Mitchell and I had the following exchange:
Mom: So Mitch, how is it?
Mitchell (always polite): Well, I kind of like it and I kind of don't. I guess I'm just not used to eating a lot of slimy things.

After being scolded about her previous behavior, Catherine came outside in hysterics to relay the following information to me:
Mom: Catherine calm down, what's wrong?
Catherine: Something is wrong with my brain. My brain keeps telling me that I don't like my mom and my brother, but I know I do love you. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY BRAIN!!!!
I'm sure the neighbors loved that one.
