Mitchell turned seven in April. I can't believe he is already so grown up. He is very mature and responsible, and takes himself very seriously. His actual birthday was a couple of weeks before the party, so I got to do a practice cake. For some reason, I can't seem to get my kids to pick a cake out of the options at the bakery. They always have a vision in their head, and I have to figure out how to interpret it. Mitchell wanted a cake that was a snowy mountain, and had the scene with Luke and Han Solo fighting the snowy monster. This was my attempt. He was very happy with it, and that's all that counts. Mitchell also got TONS of legos. In fact, he completely disappeared for a couple of weeks. He built them all himself. I was quite impressed. He was not even interested in video games for almost a full month.
