My kids are very specific about how things should be. Catherine wanted a pink and purple cake with flowers and dogs, so that's just what she got. It was delicious too, by the way. She also decided that the Fancy Nancy soiree had to include Posh Puppy, because you know how important dogs are to her. So, we had eight little girls. When they arrived, we put on tutu's and necklaces. Then we decorated dog collars for all of the posh puppies that everyone had to bring with them. We also decorated tiaras (silver spray painted burger king hats). Once everyone was all fancy, we put the dogs in the wagon and did a little parade on our street. I taught the girls how to nod and smile, and do a fancy wave. We had an audience, John, Mitchell and a neighbor bowing to us as we passed and cheering us on. The girls loved it; they giggled the whole time. Then we played some games and did the normal stuff. Catherine LOVED every minute of it. It was her first party, and she happily soaked it all in. We even did her hair Fancy Nancy style, which brought a few tears, but she felt it was totally worth it.
