Yesterday while walking home from school, Catherine and I had the following conversation:
Cath: Mom, do you know what color bird poop is?
Me: Yep
Cath: It's white. Do you know what color dog poop is?
Me: Yep
Cath: It's brown. Do you know what color human poop is?
Me: Yep
Cath: It's brown too.
Me: Okay
Cath: Why can't it be our favorite colors?
Me: You want yours to be purple and pink?
Cath: That's just disgusting Mom, why would you even say that?

Catherine is really into being fancy and wants everything to be fancy. Just like the books, she even uses fancy words. I am often told, "No mom, I'm not tired; I'm exhausted. That's fancy for tired," or, "No mom, it isn't a feather; it's a plume." The other day we were at the park with a friend. I watched Catherine walk up to her friend and have this exchange:
Catherine: Hi, do you want some of my cashews?
Friend: What are cashews?
Catherine: Oh, they're just fancy peanuts.

Does she read Fancy Nancy? I LOVED that poop conversation. She is hilarious.
Yes, we LOVE Fancy Nancy. We have to read them over and over.
Hilarious!
Hi,
I leaped over to your blog from Emily's. It's so nice to have your family in our ward and I am enjoying getting to know Mitchell in class.
