While we were in Alabama we went with all of John's siblings, parents, and all the cousins to see the U.S. Space Center in Huntsville. It was so awesome. They had tons to see; it took a long time to see it all. There were so many things that had been to space and back. The kids thought it was great! We even got to see the little pod that brought astronauts back from the moon on one of the Apollo missions. It was an amazing museum. It was a little frightening to see some of the things that took them to space. It all seemed so mechanical, nothing computerized. There were switch boards rather than monitors. I can't imagine trusting that to take me to space and back safely. They were also getting everything set up for a huge Star Wars exhibit that was beginning the next week, and fortunately they had enough of it running that Mitchell assumed he saw the entire Star Wars exhibit. He got to ride on the Millenium Falcon ride, and of course he was really excited about the Star Wars gift shop.
