Every year before Halloween we go trick-or-treating at John's office. They're nice enough to load up on candy for my kids and let them come show off their costumes. This year James wanted to be pirate cubby from "Jake and the Neverland Pirates." I came up with some quick ideas for his costume and figured out how to make some really easy pants. Mitchell wanted to be a jedi. Not any particular one, just a jedi. I made him another jedi robe, since he outgrew his last one, and put together his costume. Catherine had been asking for years to be a peacock. I never had a good idea for this, so hadn't ever let her. This year I found a peacock tutu at Gymboree, so lucky!! All I had to do was figure out something for the feathers behind her; of course she was determined that they should be there. Anyway, we found some peacock feathers at Michael's and my mom and I glued them to some fairy wings. It turned out really cute.
