We made the most of our time in Utah and fit in a day spent at This is the Place. We had no idea it would be so cool. It felt similar to our favorite little gold town, Columbia. The kids loved riding the horses, touring the houses, roping cattle, and learning all about the early settlers of Salt Lake City. James was very pleased to be there and really loved playing with the toys that pioneer children would have played with. He could have sat contentedly with those blocks all day, and all the kids loved the little furniture in the nursery.
